Fukuda Art Museum celebrates its 5th anniversary on October by showing the most notable recent acquisitions is Kaso Zukan [Fruits and Vegetables] a scroll by Itō Jakuchū for the first time in public.

Will animals on parade on the Fukuda Art Museum this summer? This exhibition introduces the animals depicted by Japanese painters from 17th to 21st century, together with explanations of the meaning and ecology behind the animals.

In early summer 2024, the Fukuda Art Museum in Saga Arashiyama, Kyoto, will unveil its prized collection of 'bijin-ga', portraits of beautiful women.  In collaboration with the nearby Saga Arashiyama Museum of Arts & Culture, visitors will be able to fully enjoy the splendid world of Japanese paintings.

To commemorate the 160th anniversary of the birth of Takeuchi Seihō, a master of modern Japanese painting who influenced many later generations, the exhibition features works by Seiho and his pupils.
