The Fukuda Collection consists of approximately 2,000 items, works by major artists dating from the Edo Period to the early 20th century. The underlying goal is to present works that will be impressive to anyone, regardless of how much they know about art. With a strong emphasis on works from the Kyoto circle of painters, the collection also includes countless notable works that have never or only rarely been shown publicly.
