We are pleased to announce that online tickets for our upcoming special exhibition, “Jakuchū: Prancing Feathers and Swelling Gourds” (opening April 25, 2026), will be available starting Sunday, March 1, at 10:00 AM via our official online ticket site.

To ensure smooth entry and avoid potential crowds, we highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.
Please note that we cannot accept cancellations, refunds, or changes to entry times once online tickets have been purchased. Please review your selection carefully before completing your order.


We offer the following two types of online tickets:

1. Advanced Timed Ticket

Available for purchase until 11:59 PM the day before your visit.

To provide a comfortable viewing experience, admission is divided into one-hour slots. Please mind that every Tuesday and Sunday is “Art Chat Day”, thus chatting is officially allowed in the museum. Please select your preferred time when purchasing:

　② 11:00 AM (Entry by 11:30)

　③ 12:00 PM (Entry by 12:30)

　④ 1:00 PM (Entry by 1:30)

　⑤ 2:00 PM (Entry by 2:30)

　⑥ 3:00 PM (Entry by 3:30)

　⑦ 4:00 PM (Entry by 4:30 / Museum closes at 5:00)

Price: 1,400 JPY (General/University Students) Enjoy a discount compared to same-day tickets (equivalent to the group rate).
Please note: Each time slot has a limited capacity and may sell out.

 

2. Limited-time Offer Premium Morning Ticket

Limited to 50 tickets per day, online only. Available for purchase until one week prior to your visit.

For those who wish to make the most of their morning, this premium ticket allows entry from 9:15 AM.

• Special Gift: Includes a postcard featuring an Jakuchū artwork.
• Recommended for: Visitors who prefer a quiet, serene atmosphere before the general opening.

Price: 1,900 JPY (General/University Students), 1,300 JPY (High School Students above 16), 900 JPY (children above 7), 1,300 JPY (Disabled person and up to one helper)

• Note: The museum shop and café open at 10:00 AM.
• Note: Due to the early opening, some cleaning or maintenance work may still be in progress.
• For Museum Members: Early entry at 9:15 AM is available for a limited number of guests. Please make a reservation in advance via email.
• Note: Invitation tickets cannot be used for entry during the “Premium Morning” hours (9:15 AM – 10:00 AM).

By presenting your online ticket (email or screen) at the nearby Saga Arashiyama Museum of Arts & Culture on the day of your visit, you will be eligible for their group discount rate.

Same-Day Tickets: While same-day tickets will be available at the door, online ticket holders will be given priority. You may experience wait times if you do not have a pre-purchased ticket.
