Fukuda Art Museum in Arashiyama, Kyoto h0lds “Uemura Shōen and the Trajectory of Bijin-ga” from 11 October 2025 to 18 January 2026.
In order to fully enjoy this exhibition, we are happy to provide you some offerings and tips. We hope you enjoy the fantastic collection of Bijin-ga or Japanese paintings and the beautiful landscape of Arashiyama.

1. Online tickets or Combo tickets are good deals for you!
   We highly recommend you to purchase your tickets online in advance. Online tickets at the Fukuda Art Museum are the same price as group tickets thus you get some discounts. You can simply choose a ticket of this exhibition, no need to determine the date of your visit. Tickets can be purchased until 3pm on the day of your visit.    If you purchase the online ticket, the group rate will be applied when you present your online ticket at the nearby Saga Arashiyama Museum of Arts & Culture, which co-hosts the Bijin-ga exhibition called “Ukiyo-e, the Launch Pad for Bijin-ga“.
     
   Or  you can simply buy a combo ticket on the day of your visit at the reception of the both museums. The price is the same as the purchase of online ticket of Fukuda.
   
   
2. Morning ticket from 9:30am now on sale!
   For a limited time only, morning activity tickets are available for viewing the museum from 9:30am only on our official online ticketing website. You can buy it a week prior to your desired entry date. The price is the same as if you enter the museum after 10:00. We hope you will make the most of your morning.
   You can show the morning ticket at the reception of Saga Arashiyama Museum of Arts & Culture and get a discount as well.
   Annual Pass holders can also enter the museum from 9.30am by registering in advance and presenting their membership card on the day of their visit.
   
   
3. Show your ticket at Arashiyama Kumahiko and receive a special offer!
   Show your ticket and get a free drink when you dine at the Japanese restaurant Arashiyama Kumahiko, right next to the Fukuda Art Museum. Why not enjoy authentic Kyoto cuisine in the springtime in Arashiyama?
   
   
4. Apply for the annual pass on the day of your visit and get a 1000 yen discount
   We normally provide annual pass for 5000 yen, but if you apply before you leave the museum, we will give you a 1000 yen discount and extend the validity period by one month. The annual pass enables you to free access to the museum throughout a year.We give a leaflet about this benefit to all paying visitors, please bring it to the reception before you leave. 
   
   
5. Park your car at D Parking Arashiyama Chikurin-no-Komichi 1st (Dパーキング嵐山竹林の小径第１) and get a refund 
   If you drive to Arashiyama, you might want to park your car at the D Parking near the entrance to the famous bamboo forest. Please be sure to print a entry ticket when you leave the parking. You will get 200 yen cash refund if you show the ticket at the reception desk.
   
   
6. Enjoy a private curator-guided tour of the museum before it opens and after it closes!

7. Bring your smartphone and earplugs for the free audioguide in English!
   Fukuda Art Museum provides free audioguide both in Japanese and English. Please scan the QR code with your smartphone so that you can get access to the website of our audioguide. Please make sure to use your earplugs not to distract other visitors.
